This is sometimes called the Buddha of Fortune. It was said that when these amulets were found, an inscription “Poverty will never fall on those who possesses this amulet ” was written in the chedi.
This group actually comprises of 2 different kinds of amulets, Phra Leela, the walking Buddha in an oblong shape and Phra SomKor in a semi round shape, both from Kamphengphet province. Several types of Kamphangphet tablets are amongst the most sought after by collectors.
Phra Somkor normally comes in either the shape of a thumbnail, or an oval shape commonly referred to as cake amulets (kanom). They are estimated to have been made some 600 years ago. Today Phra Somkor appears to be slightly more popular than Phra Leela, as it is smaller and easier to wear when wearing a full set of BenjaPakee.

This medium size Phra Somkor amulet is sometimes called ‘Buddha of Fortune’. It was said that when an inscription was found, what written in the chidi ( Pagoda ) was: “Poverty will never fall on those who possess this amulet”. The amulets were from Kamphengphet province. The buddha image seems to have a mixture of Sukhothai style and Sri Lanka style and they are estimated to be made approximately 500 years ago. A layer of calcium covers the surface of the buddha penant, thus proving authenticity of its ancient history.
